Laneige Make up workshop

During the last week of September, I saw an announcement in Mall of Asia that Laneige will be having a make up work shop with one of their international make up artist Min Hyuk Park. I immediately went to Laneige's s store in Mall of Asia to sign up.

On the first week of October I found out that they will have an exclusive make up workshop for bloggers and luckily I got an invite.

I first learned about the brand on youtube haul videos and how girls (even non korean) rave about their skin care products. Laneige is a famous korean cosmetics and skin care brand that is now here in the Philippines.

La neige is a French word that means 'the snow'. Snow forms when vapour droplets solidify around dust particles as they fall from the clouds to the ground.

Snow is crystalline water ice, consisting of a multitude of snowflakes, which are typicallt hexagonally symmetrical. Snowflakes can come in many different, visually appealing forms, including columns, needles, and plates. They are like works of art crafted by the hands of nature using moisture and wind as tools. Crystalline water ice formed in the night sky. Snowflakes that fall to the ground remind us of floral leaves scattered by the winds. Snow that falls on your skin shines like a gem. Snow that piles up on the ground is pure and clear beyond measure. Eventually, they silently melt to become water.

Meet Mr. Park

Admit it or not you love how flawless, young looking and healthy looking korean skins are! Mr. Park shared some secrets and techniques on how koreans do their everyday make up with Laniege's Dazzling Holiday collection.

Mr. Park emphasizes on how important skin care is. We should apply toner, moisturizer, sunblock and under eye creams before our concealer and foundation routine. Since our weather is hot and humid compared to their weather in Korea he taught us on how we should do our routine as well as on the amount of product that should be applied. Yes, it's a lot of work to do especially for busy people but it's gonna be worth it.

Here is a summary

* Apply skin care products such as moisturizer, sunblock and eye cream before applying make up. Massage it to your face in an upward motion so the skin will absorb the product. It is also a technique in avoiding pre mature aging.

*During daytime, apply small amount of moisturizer and sunblock to avoid excess oil and apply generous amount before sleeping or at night time.

* For foundation, you can use your clean fingers or a brush. Using your fingers will give a more natural look. Apply foundation in an upward motion.

* Instead of using just one product, use both eyebrow pencil and eyebrow powder. Outline with the pencil and fill with the powder. This is a faster technique and your brows will look more natural.

* For korean make up Less is more! Koreans like natural looking make up. Avoid heavy make up specially at day time. (This is very true considering our weather!)

* Apply blush on and highlight parts of your face for a natural looking glow on skin. Always consider the shape of your face when highlighting. Highlight points of your face like brow bone and nose bridge.

* Set your make up with a powder using a brush. Use a tapping motion instead of a wiping motion. Tapping motion will set your make up better because wiping motion might leave brush marks.

*Remove excess oil using a powder puff. Dab it on your face.

* Apply a natural looking lipstick and apply a gloss that is the same or compliments the lipstick color.

Lay Bare Waxing Salon Experience

Most Filipina women get rid of unwanted hair (especially underarm hair) by plucking or shaving and to tell you honestly I do both. As we all know both plucking and shaving will cause darker skin and the unwanted "chicken skin". Another option is waxing but everyone is afraid of the "pain" of this procedure. I've always wanted to try waxing but i'm worried that I can't handle the pain! Just hearing the term 'waxing' is like a nightmare!

During the recently concluded blogapalooza (read my post here), Lay Bare Waxing Salon was one of presenters. They explained the benefits of waxing in a very creative way and changed the notion that waxing is synonymous to pain. Included in our loot bag was a kit from Lay Bare with a free bikini wax gift certificate. So I was convinced to try waxing!

Last Wednesday I summoned up all my courage and decided to visit their branch in Better living Paranaque. I was greeted by their friendly staffs. I asked permission to take some photos inside and outside the salon. I also told them that It was my first time to try waxing so I have no idea what will happen! HAHA! Originally, I only want to avail the under arm waxing but since I have the GC the staffs told me why not to try bikini wax as well. I was very hesitant at first but they assured me that I won't regret it at the pain is tolerable.

They have a lot of cubicles so I think it is very rare that you still need wait for your turn.

I like the simple asian/zen feel of the interiors of the salon. The cozy feel made me feel so at ease.

Inside each cubicle is a bed with clean sheets and towels. The room is very private and clean

Lay Bare use cold wax instead of the traditional hot wax which decreases the trauma/pain especially for first timers.

They also sell Human Nature products in the salon!

And for my experience, I didn't feel that much pain in the under arm waxing and as for the bikini wax I can say that it is very tolerable . It is not completely painless but I assure you it's not as painful as it sounds. 'Ate' (my attendant ) was telling me some facts about waxing while doing the procedure. She also told me that a lot of guys undergo waxing! I was surprised to know that! I realized that bikini waxing is really hygienic and not only for "swimsuit purposes". Both procedures are really quick so don't think that you will suffer for a long time. My attendant also told me the do's and dont's after waxing like not to wet the area for 4-6 hours. She also advised me when should I go back to the salon.

I will surely go back to Lay Bare! I am very happy that I tried waxing. I am now waving good bye to tweezers and razors and say hi to better skin! Thank you Lay Bare for making waxing very convenient and affordable!

Indonesia Trip! Outfit Diary

Hi lovies! I'm back on track after a week of hiatus! The reason behind my MIA was because I went on a vacation with my boyfriend. Where? In Jakarta! I thought that our trip won't push through because of a lot of reasons but thanks to my awesome parents for allowing me to go on this trip! Traveling is another thing that is very close to my heart! This trip is my third international trip this year! One more please? *fingers crossed* I hope to finish South East Asia before I turn 25!

We stayed in Jakarta for almost three days.Let me share with you what I wore for this trip.

Meet my new favorite shoes!! I want to get them a long time ago but they are so expensive for someone jobless like me (original one). I saw this already on some online shops but it's pre-ordered. I don't really like waiting for something I bought online so imagine my happiness when I saw this pair in Chick Flick's stall in BF Ruins! I love the store so much! From clothes to shoes and one of a kind accessories , name it they have it! Plus their SA is so friendly!

I didn't know that we will do a lot of shopping on our first day. We went to Manga Dua, it's like Jakarta's divisoria but 5x bigger! I survived a whole day of walking in these shoes! They are sky high yet so comfy! I can't wait to buy my next pair!

Blogapalooza experience!

Last September 17 was a very long day for me! It was my flight back here in Manila then I went home to take a quick nap and shower then I attended a bloggers event called Blogapalooza organized by When in Manila. It was held in Fully Booked Boni High. Basically, the event is all about building a connection of businesses to bloggers. To know more about what the event is, read my post here . The event was attended by almost 150 bloggers and 30 companies. I had a lot of fun meeting fellow bloggers and knowing more about the companies that presented in the event.

Hello Lovies! How's everyone? Here is a 'semi' review on NYX Round lipstick plus swatches. Expect more NYX product reviews/swatches in my blog especially the round lipsticks. Why? i'll tell you later :) I'll do the swatches by batch so for now here are the swatches of HERO , CHIC, SNOW WHITE!

What NYX says about the lipstick :

NYX Round Lipstick is NYX’s the best selling lipstick and one of the top sellers for NYX Cosmetics.

INGREDIENTS: Ceresin Wax, Polyethlene Wax, Candelilla wax, Microcrystalline Wax, Beeswax, Lanoline Oil, Isopropyl Myristate, Mineral Oils, Octyl Palmitate, BHA, Propyl Paraben, Mica, Titanium Dioxide, D&C Red No.A1 Lake, Pearl Powder, Iron Oxide.

How do you like the packaging? For me it's good and looks really chic. Nothing special but nice to think it is only more than $3! You can see the colors on the bottom of the tube (it's like some sort of rubber). Not all the colors shown on the bottom are accurate or exactly like the lipstick color.

SNOW WHTE (deeper red than Hero)

The consistency is very creamy and glides easily on the lips. As for the pigmentation it differs on every color. Snow White and hero are more pigmented than chic. One glide is enough iFyour not sporting a very dramatic red lips. It doesn't dry my lips which I really like. I also noticed that after removing the Red shades, it stained my lips which is fine with me. It is also not very sticky. The lipstick will last for about 3-4 hours only. What I love about NYX Round Lipstick is the wide selection of colors!! I want to own all of them!

Philippine Cosmetics Expo Haul

Holla lovies!

Yesterday I went to the Phil Cosmetics Expo held in SM Megamall. Unfortunately I wasn't able to take any pictures since I was so busy looking around plus I want to leave SM megamall as soon as possible. There are only few stores to see in the expo but it was okay with me since i'm not really planning to buy a lot of stuff.

So here is my haul for the event....

I got two new palettes from Dollface cosmetics! I was only planning to get one but my boyfriend bought the other one.

Here is the first palette. It's the 88 Color Palette.

and the other one is 66 lip color palette! I love the colors and how pigmented they are! Dollface was on 10% anniversary sale for a minimum purchase of 1,000 pesos so I got both palettes for only 1,300!

Next is this face brush I got from a random store for only 50 pesos.

Ever Bilena was on 50% off for the last day of the expo! I can't resist not to grab few items from them! I bought most of EB items for my mom and Auntie.

I grabbed this e/s because I loved the colors!

And for my best purchase of the day..... YES! I bought a puppy! It was unplanned! We saw a lady selling some puppies in BF and we fell inlove how cute she is! She's a maltese and we named her Zoey! She looks a little dirty in the picture because she's not allowed to take a bath because of her recent injection. I love her!

DIY Moisturizing Face Mask

Hello Lovies!

We all know that moisturizing our skin especially our face is very important. Don't you just love how moisturizers make your skin refreshed and hydrated ? That is why I love soaking my skin with water based moisturizer. I watched Michelle Phan's video on how to do a DIY Cotton mask and I realized that this is a very good technique in soaking your skin with moisturizer.

So let me share with you my own version of DIY Moisturizing cotton/face mask.

Here are the things you need:

1. Moisturizer ( I used celeteque water-based moisturizer)

2. Disposable Facial Towel

3. small container

4. water

I usually use facial towels I bought from daiso but this time i'm using this magic tissue my friend gave me (im sure, most of you are familiar with this really cute stuff!). You can use any disposable face towels as long as it's very absorbent and durable. Water-based moisturizers are also perfect for this because you are going to mix it with water.

Steps:

1. Put your disposable facial towel in a container. Put a very generous amount of your favorite moisturizer and add water. I prefer using cold water because it feels really refreshing in the skin.

The magic tissue will be like this after absorbing the water. Cool huh?

2. I peeled the tissue to its original size so it will absorb the water and moisturizer evenly. I let it soak for around 5-10 minutes. You can also refrigerate this if you want a really cold mask.

And you are done! You can put this on your face just like a regular face mask. Easy right? You can stretch the facial towel too! :) What I love about this technique is that it also moisturizes my lips,eyelids and chin area! :) You can tear the towel on your nose area but in my case I find it really easy to breath (and even see) in this facial towel. Use this mask for 10-20 minutes or until the mask is dry. It will make your skin super soft and hydrated.

Animal print Lips .1 - Leopard

Hello lovies!

If you know me personally, i'm sure you know how much I love animal printed stuff. From clothes,shoes etc! I'm a sucker for anything witth animal print! I was looking for a new animal print wall paper for my phone when I saw an animal printed lips and I got inspired to try it. This is my first ever attempt and I think I can do better next time! So let me share with you how I did this!

STEPS AFTER THE BREAK! <3

1. To emphasize the shape of your lips, put concealer on the edges of your lips and blend it.

2. After blending, set the concealer with powder.

3. Line and fill your lips with a lip liner. This will define your lip shape and it will also intensify your lipstick's color.

4. Using a lipstick brush, apply the lip color of your choice! :)

5. Remove excess by blotting your lips in a tissue.

5. Using a liquid eyeliner, draw "C" & "O" shapes in your lips. you can also look for a pattern . It is really easy and you don't need your prints to be perfect.

You can do big or small patterns . You can fill the circles with any color that you like, (see first photo) Or just leave it like this :) Make sure you let the liquid eyeliner dry before pressing your lips together! And as much as possible don't do that because it will ruin the design. I think matte lipsticks are the best for this since you don't want your liquid eyeliner and lipstick to blend (you will end up with black/Gothic looking lips)

I had a lot of fun doing this. I also did a zebra print lips and i'll share it to you tomorrow!

Review: Maybeline Hyper Curl Volum' Express Waterproof Mascara

Hello lovies! Here is another review post! And this time i'm gonna do a review on Maybeline's Hyper Curl Volum' Express Waterproof Mascara.

When it comes to mascara, Maybeline is my favorite brand. Why? Simple, it's affordable & it works really well. Maybeline Cat eye Mascara is my favorite but I need to give this one a try.

I'm not a fan of thick/creamy mascara formula because I have very thin lashes so 'wet' mascara makes my lashes heavy. At first, I thought that this mascara won't suit me since it looks really thick. There is nothing special about the brush too(besides its curved) unlike the Cat eye mascara brush which I really love!

I applied two coats of this mascara and look at the result....

A lot better huh? I was impressed! Long and thick lashes!

WHAT I LIKE

- Very affordable! php250 (less than $5.00)

- Nice packaging

-It doesn't clump & smudge

-Two coats will give you natural looking long and thick lashes.

-holds the curl for 5-6 hours (it doesn't feel heavy!)

-the formula is not too wet nor too dry.

-stays for a long time

WHAT I DON'T LIKE

-Since it's water proof, it is really hard to remove. I use petroleum jelly to remove the mascara and to condition my lashes as well.

-I find it difficult to apply this mascara on my lower lashes because of the 'curved' plus fat brush.

I'm gonna give this product 4.5 out of 5! This product is now officially my Holy Grail mascara!

Karen's Pre-Debut Pictorial

Hello lovies! :) Remember the debut party I attended in this ENTRY ? I was the celebrant's MUA for her pre debut pictorial and here are the pictures from the shoot. (raw)

. I used neutral colors for her eyes and pink lips for a more natural look. I used James Cooper foundation because it has no trace of SPF which is perfect for photo shoots like this.

FOTD: Brown eyes + pink lips

Holla lovies <3 I attended my cousin's 18th birthday last night and here's my make up for the event. :) Brown e/s are my favorite!

I used two shades of brown in the crease area and a champagne color e/s on the inner part of the lid. The eye make up is very simple and very wearable. For the lips, I used a matte pink color for a sweeter look.

DIY : Glitter heels. Turn your old boring heels to Stunning heels!

Holla lovies! This entry is a little different from my usual blog entries but I love to share this DIY experience with you! I got the idea from http://fashiondiy101.wordpress.com the blog of my friend Jenamae! You should visit her blog for awesome DIY projects and ideas!

So, meet my 'new' babies!

Here are some 'inspirations'

This is the original pair! See how dirty this pair is? I got this from my US trip last year from Rue21. Since it's white im sure you know the problem already. I don't want to throw it because it is still in good condition but I don't wanna wear them either because of the obvious reason. When I saw Jena's blog my problem was solved!

WANT TO DO THIS? STEPS AFTER THE CUT.

Things you need:

1. old shoes (or new if you want)

2. glue

3. glitters (i bought 2 packs but 1 is enough)

4. tape

5. brush (or sponge)

steps:

1. use the tape to protect the areas where you don't want the glue and glitter to stick.

And a closer look to my dirty baby :I

2. Apply glue evenly on your shoes.

3. Time for the glitters. Pat the glitters so it would stick and to distribute them evenly. Tap off the excess. Let it dry over night.

4. When your shoes are dry you will need to apply another layer of glue to protect the glitters from falling. This will also add shine to your new shoes! If you missed any areas, you can retouch it, Let it dry again.

Easy right? And viola your new heels!

Here is a before and after picture. A lot better huh?

My Current Favorite False Eyelashes

Hello lovies! I received few questions from my friends/twitter friends regarding false eyelashes that's why I decided to do this "eyelash related" post. I have very thin and short eyelashes that is why I love wearing faux lashes.

Here are some of the questions that I received.

1. Do I wear false eyelashes everyday?
Yes and No :) I only wear them on special occasions BEFORE but recently i'm loving wearing false eyelashes on normal days (movie date, friends night out). And I don't use the full length! I cut it in half and I apply the false eyelashes very close to my lashline for a more natural look. Don't forget to curl your lashes to combine your natural and fake eyelashes. You can also put mascara.

2. Where do I buy my faux lashes?
I don't buy expensive false eyelashes (200 & up) . There is a store near my house that sells false eyelashes for only 20/ pair and it is really good for everyday use. I recently found a store that sell korean false eyelashes which is my current favorite. (more details later.) I also recommend false eyelashes from Etude house and Shawii.

3. Do I re-use my false eyelashes?
Yes :) as long as they are still in good condition. Make sure you remove them properly so you can use it again. Also clean it first by removing the remaining glue from previous use before applying glue again.

4. Where do I buy eyelash glue? What brand do I use?
Im using Aido Eye Putti now. I got it from SM department store for 160php. I also recommend Lashgrip which is available in Beautybar.

So now, for my current favorite false eyelashes.

I got this DARKNESS lashes from Alabang Town Center. There is a store/stall right in front of Daiso that sells Korean Cosmetics. It costs Php70 only and this is re-usable. It also comes with a glue that is really effective. I love it's crisss-cross design. It may look too much or very unnatural but it's really not when you wear it.

I remembered a while ago that my blog is exactly one month today! I'm really happy that I made this blog because first, I get to share my love for make up, second I also learn a lot from the lovely ladies that I follow and lastly I gained confidence with the help of this blog. And for my MOTD, this is a look I did a week ago. I almost forgot about this post.

So basically it is a smokey look using black and 2 shades of brown eye shadow. I used a black gel liner as base to intensify the color. I'm also thinking if I should do a tutorial on this look. What do you think? Yes??

Make up Day in Tagaytay/Cousin's birthday

Hello LOVIES! Yesterday we went to Tagaytay for my cousin's 18th birthday celebration. It was raining cats and dogs here in Manila so imagine more in Tagaytay! I grabbed my favorite leather jacket and beanie. Luckily the weather became better in the afternoon but it was still so freaking cold! I was also the make up artist of my cousin for the day.

Anyhoo, my boyfriend and cousin took some or should I say a lot of pictures while I was doing my cousin's make up and i loved it! Here are some of the pictures.

Here is a before and after picture. I wanted her make up to look really natural. It was a very intimate party. We celebrated it with the family and some of her friends. I used James Cooper cream foundation for her make up. Wait for my review on the product.

We had so much fun! Since the weather wass so cold, why not pretend we have snow?

Tutorial: Smokey Purple w/ Yellow

Hi guys! This is gonna be my first attempt to do a tutorial post so please bare with me :) I don't really know what to call this look. I just got the idea from my old purple dress with yellow dots on it plus the weather is making me lazy to go out so this is what I got. I decided to play with my traincase instead of sleeping. This is a very easy look and I want to make my tutorials as easy as possible. Hope you will like it.

STEPS AFTER THE BREAK

Here are the colors that I used for this look (palette from fashion21)

After your foundation routine, groom your eyebrows. Apply eye primer all over your lids and your lower lash line. I used ELF eyelid primer in nude.

Using a flat brush apply a yellow(1) e/s on your lid (below your crease area)

Apply a dark purple (2) e/s on your crease area. Blend all the hard edges away. Use this e/s as well on your lower lash line connecting it on the e/s on the lids.

Apply a light pink (3) or purple e/s on the other part of your crease blending it with the darker purple color.

Get a black e/s and apply it on your outer V area. Blend it upwards on your crease area.

After that, apply a white or cream e/s on your brow bone and tear ducts for highlight. Apply this e/s as well on the other half of your lower lash line. Put eyeliner on the upper lash line, I used Fanny Serrano gel Liner in black. After applying it on your upper lash line you can apply the remaining product on the brush in your lower lash line. Use a white eyeliner on your lower lash line to make your eyes look bigger and brighter. Tight line your upper lash line with a black eyeliner to create a fuller lashes look.

Put false eyelashes if you like and use an eyelash curler and mascara to combine your false and your real eyelashes. Put mascara on your lower lashes as well. Contour your jawline as well as your cheeks. Put your favorite blush on the apples of your cheeks. I only used a pink lip gloss for this look to emphasize the eyes.

And your done! Easy right? and here is the final look.

FOTD: Elf Eyelid Primer in Champagne and Pierre Balmain in Brown suede

Hi guys! Another FOTD here. This was my make up when we watched Captain America. I love the weather that day. It was raining but not that hard. I'm so happy I get to wear my leather jacket!

Anyway, I used ELF eyelid primer in Champagne and Pierre Balmain E/S in Brown suede for my eyes. The ELF eyelid primer can be used alone since its shimmery with a hint of color. To read my review and see swatches of this product click HERE. I just added a matte dark brown e/s on my crease area to add depth on my eyes. I love how it turned out! It is very simple and wearable on normal days. I also put some false lashes which looks very natural! For the lips, I used my favorite soft nude lipstick from Revlon.

Last Wednesday, me and my friends watched Captain America. I loved it! Why?

Anyhoo, another thing I loved about the movie is Peggy Carter!

Peggy Carter played by Hayley Atwell is the love interest of Captain America, I love her look in the movie! 40's look so elegant!

Here is my take on the 40's look.

Very clean and simple. I think 40's (as well as 50's) is more on their crisply shaped lips with matte red lipstick and darker brows.

I applied concealer on the edges of my lips to emphasize it's shape.

REVIEW: Fanny Serrano Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner

If you read my last Haul post , you know the reason why I bought this gel liner from Fanny Serrano Cosmetics. I had a hard time choosing between this and Maybeline Lasting Drama Gel-liner. Two main reasons why I bought this one is first, it's cheaper and second, my boyfriend told me to support Filipino products which I think is correct. I've heard/read a lot of feed backs about this product. Most of them are positive but there are also some negative ones. Finally, I got the chance to give it a try.

[ This is just my opinion and based from my experience on using the product. ]

Php 225.00 for 4ml bottle, cheap compared to other gel liner brands.

After less than a week of using this product this is how it looks like (at least for me!) I don't know if it's just me but I always get too much amount on my brush so I have to put some back that's why my bottle is so messy. :(

SEE MY VERDICT AFTER THE JUMP. MORE PICTURES AFTER THE JUMP.

I admit that I suck on applying eyeliner on my upper lash line especially with liquid eye liners but surprisingly I did pretty well on gel liner!

After the gel liner dried, I rubbed it gently to see if it will smudge easily. I't didn't .

Since it claims to be a long wear gel eyeliner I assumed that it' water proof and smudge proof . I also asked the sales lady if i'm correct and she said yes. I washed my hand with swatches w/o rubbing it.

After gently rubbing it and after putting it on running water .

Again, I gently rubbed it while it is still wet. In here you can see the smudging already.

But the real test was wearing it for the whole day. I used the gel liner alone. No primer, no eye shadow, just foundation and powder.

after 14 hours..

I have oily lids as you can see in the picture. The eyeliner is still visible except for the 'winged' part. And it did smudge especially on the outer corner of my eye. Maybe 14 hours is too long don't you think? I also used this on my cousin for her pictorial. I applied the make up around 7am in the morning and when she went home around 8 in the evening I didn't notice any smudging at all.

to sum it all up:

what I like:

* it's cheap

* very easy to apply, it glides smoothly

* a little goes a long way! a bottle can last for a long time (for personal use)

* intense color

* dries fast

* i't doesn't smudge easily

* water proof.

what I don't like:

* doesn't come with a brush unlike other gel liners

* smudges on oily lids/not oil resistant.

* gives me panda eyes when I apply it on my lower lash line

Will I re-purchase?? yes! I think the product is good enough for it's price.

07/22 HAUL- First Haul Post

Yesterday me and my guy went to Makati. I bought the following in SM Department store. I love SM, especially their cosmetics section. You can leave me there for hours! So basically I bought things that I need for future make up gigs (I hope!) and some for my personal use.

JAMES COOPER COMPACT CREAM FOUNDATION PHP550

After hearing/reading a lot of good reviews about this product, I decided to purchase it and give it a try. James Cooper compact cream foundation costs PHP550 for 20g and its made in France. I bought shade # 02. If I will be satisfied about this product I will purchase the other shade which is darker than this one. This foundation is perfect for special occasions and photo shoots since it has no SPF. The coverage is too heavy for everyday use (for me)

FANNY SERRANO LONG WEAR GEL EYELINER BY F21 COSMETICS PHP225

I had a hard time choosing between Maybeline Eyestudio Lasting drama gel and this FS gel liner. Maybeline was my first choice but when I tried this product and I saw that It was cheaper I decided to get this one. Plus my boyfriend told me that I should support Filipino products (which is true!) Unlike the Maybeline gel liner this one doesn't come with a brush which was fine with me. I will do a review about this product soon. The sales lady also told me that this product is smudge proof and water proof. This costs 225 pesos compared to Maybeline thats costs around 400 pesos?? I'm not really sure.

Maybeline is my favorite brand when it comes to mascara . They are affordable and effective! my favorite is the Cat eye Mascara but I decided to give this hypercurl volume express a try.

I prefer using loose powder that compact powder in setting my make up. During my college days I use Nichido Final powder. This loose powder from fashion21 looks promising and I love the shade of this one.

I also got some random stuff from Watsons. Dove and the Milk Spa salt was 50% off. Two eyebrow shaver for only PHP12.00 each! I also got some containers because I need to transfer some of my pigment eye shadows since the bottles are already broken. I bought the containers for only PHP20 ! I don't know why I bought that eyelash curler maybe because I was surprised when I saw the price, but upon trying it I was impressed! It actually looks and feels durable, good enough for everyday use. I got it for PHP36.00 only!
I went to Daiso as well and bought the cosmetic sponge pack for only PHP88.00

Too Faced Caribbean In A Compact - Snow Bunny

I'm so excited when a good friend of mine, Sam told me that she will give me a bronzer! Sam was my classmate in college. I remember when we were in first year she used to put make up on me during school events. And her make up collection is HUGE!! Thank you so much mammy Sam!

I'm not a bronzer person because I think and i'm afraid that it won't look good on me. Time to give it a try!

So, my friend gave me this Too Faced Caribbean in a compact bronzer and I love it and I can't wait to try it!

The packaging is so cute, it's so girly and chic.

Hi guys ! I'll be sharing to you my current favorite lipstick. Revlon Color burst 070 Soft Nude! I'm so in love with this lipstick!

First for the packaging, the quilted surface makes it look classy! It looks expensive but it's not. The cap perfectly fits! I can say that the packaging is very good for a drugstore make up. By the way I got this lippie from my Aunt who works in Israel. It was love at first sight or should I say it was 'Love at first swipe'!

Its very creamy and glides easily on the lips. It has no shimmer which I really like and my lips don't feel dry every time I use this. The nude color is just the "exact" nude color for me. I don't look dead or i'm running out of blood! After falling in love with this, I want to try the other colors of Revlon ColorBurst collection!

This lipstick is perfect with dramatic eyes! Here is one look I did using this lipstick. Click HERE for my blog post about this look. The lipstick costs around $6-$8, i'm not sure cause as I have said this was a gift. Will I buy this lipstick again? YES YES YES!! plus the other colors as well!

So obviously I love everything about this lipstick, i'm not saying that it's perfect but I can't find anything that I don't like about this product.

REVIEW: elf eyelid primer collection (pre-use)

Yesterday I had a little make up shopping in SM department store and this eyelid primer from Eyes lips face is one of the stuff I grabbed. I'm not planning to get this whole set but the single tube costs PHP 129 while this set cost PHP249. (plus the single tube is so small!)

What does it promise?

* longer lasting and crease-proof eyeshadow

*you can also wear it alone, yes w/o any e/s!

So here is how the set looks like. It comes in three colors.

1 nude

2 pearl

3 champagne

I asked the saleslady what is the difference of the three besides its color, she told me that its all the same & she also told me that the pearl color can be used as a brow bone highlighter. I was intrigued about that one.

Here are the swatches of the primers when blended and when the e/s is applied.

1. NUDE

This is my favorite among the three.

2. PEARL

Now I know why the saleslady told me that this color can be used as a brow bone highlighter simply because it has this little glitters on it. (which I don't really like!)

3. CHAMPAGNE

See how shimmery it is? I think its not really advisable to use this if you will use a matte color eyeshadow unless you want that effect.

For the creasing, i'm planning to apply this product on days that I really need to wear dramatic eyeshadow for a long time. ( I'll give you an update to that!)

As for my opinion I would give this eyelid primer a score of 3 out of five. I'm not really satisfied with the product (based on my initial try and this swatches). I want my eyelid primer to intensify the colors (well, it's not mentioned in the box that it does!) and not just crease-proof and for long wear.

Will I purchase this again? Hmmm.. Maybe not! It's cheap for an eyelid primer but this is not the primer i'm looking for.

Make up of the Day: Smokey Navy blue

Here is the make up look that I did today! I actually did two and this is the second one. The first one is a bad-girl look using all matte shadow plus a fuchsia lipstick that I darkened using an eye liner pencil (will post it soon).

I just topped the first look's eye make up and changed the lip color and this what I got.

I used the pencil eye liner and applied it as a base and topped it with a dark blue eye shadow. Blended it till I got my desired smokey effect. I also applied black eye shadow to the crease area. To complete the smokey look I topped the black eyeshadow with a dark brown eye shadow. Blend blend blend and there you go a smokey effect.. and oopppss, don't forget to apply a silver or white (or any highlight color that you have) in your tear duct area and blend it inward your lid also highlight your browbone :D for the lower lash line , I applied the black eye shadow on 1/2 of my lash line and applied the highlight color on the other half and blended them.

As for the lips, since the eyes are very dramatic I used a nude lipstick and top it off with a clear gloss. (Lip color: Revlon soft nude 070) I love this lipstick so much!

Forgive me for this picture. LOL

You can wear this make up in parties/night outs. You can also remove the false eyelashes and just apply 2 coats of mascara :D

Make up of the Day: Smokey Brown (using a e/s quad)

Hello guys! I was bored this afternoon and decided to practice and put make up! I used my eye shadow quad which is one of my favorite among my quads! Eye shadow quads are very easy to use especially for beginners because you don't need to experiment what colors to use to achieve a certain effect. And most of the time when you buy quads there is an instruction on where to apply that color.

PS: I'M NO PROFESSIONAL! , JUST SHARING MY LOVE FOR COSMETICS.

This is the quad that I used for this look. It's a "pasalubong" from my Japanese best friend. The brand & details written in the back are of course in Japanese!

Here is a picture that shows where you should apply the following colors. By the way, I applied a little amount of black e/s (#3) to give more depth to the eyes and for a better smokey look.

Brushes that I used for this look. (contour brush,flat brushes, eyebrow comb, angle brush,blush brush) You can also use just one flat brush (medium size) for this look, just make sure you clean it well before you use it for another color. (brushes from dollface cosmetics)

Here are the pictures of the final look. I used a very nude lipstick & top it with a lip gloss to emphasize the eyes.

You can use this make up in a lot of occasions since its not that dramatic ( in my opinion!) You can add or lessen the darkest color to achieve the look you want! :)
